About —

Madeleine Parsons is a writer and designer based in Brooklyn. She is the creative director at design gallery Colony and an adjunct professor at Parsons School of Design. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Hunter College, where she was awarded a Sainsbury Research Fellowship with author Ed Park. Her writing explores how the built environment shapes and reflects our interior lives. This fall Madeleine will focus on aesthetics and poetic experimentation as one of twelve 2026/2027 FIELDNOTES Associates.

Her writing has been published in Wrong House, Upstate Woman and Design Milk and she has forthcoming fiction in 3:AM Magazine. Read more at Design in Verse, her newsletter on the dialogue between literature and design.
